Senior Investment Operations Consultant
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
CFM is hiring a Senior Investment Operations Consultant to join our office in Virginia Beach, VA. As the Senior Investment Operations Consultant, you will collaborate with other members in the Investment Operations Department to provide wealth management and investment advisory services. The Senior Investment Operations Consultant will join a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals who take pride in delivering massive value to the families the firm serves. Essential duties for the Senior Investment Operations Consultant role will include, but are not limited, to:
- Prepare and review investment account applications.
- Communication with other department leaders ensures efficiency when establishing new client relationships.
- Assist with ongoing training in the Investment Operations Department.
- Accurately describe value proposition of CFM’s investment philosophy.
- Perform detailed data collection and use the client onboarding process including risk tolerance questionnaire.
- Facilitate rollover and transfer calls with clients.
- Gather and update client information in preparation of investment and service items.
- Consistently and accurately communicate with clients via email, phone calls, and global relay texts.
- Conduct service meetings, i.e., DocuSign walkthrough, signing forms, etc.
- Manage RMD client distributions.
- Process bank information, address, and name changes.
- Understand regulations as it pertains to investment account set-up.
- Understand tax requirements as it pertains to contributions and taxation of investment accounts (IRAs, Roth IRAs, non-qualified accounts, 529s, employer sponsored retirement plans, UTMAs, etc.).
- Identify opportunities during client interactions.
- Conduct Statement review calls.
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in the wealth management industry
- 4-year undergraduate degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting or a related major.
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses preferred or related licenses (i.e. series 6,63,65).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong client and team relationships.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and/or programming skills a plus.
- Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and process account applications efficiently and accurately.
- Warm, friendly personality with the ability to connect with people.
- Strong Client Services and Customer Service skills to ensure excellent support and relationship management.
